Okay this is crazy and cool and I just saw it on the internet. Cam Watt, a design and media teacher, used his 3D printer at home to create his own screen printing kit and it looks freaking awesome. He even shares on his blog how you can make one too. That is if you have a 3D printer of course.
He uses the 3D printer to print the stencil directly on the screen mesh without having to use any emulsion or expose the screen. The 3D printer simply prints his design directly on the screen and blocks out the open mesh. How genius!
The 3D printer also prints out a squeegee (an adorable little squeegee!) and a jig to hold your screen mesh in place while you print your design on your shirt or whatever.
